When the budget is tight and a choice needs to be made from the range of notebooks under $200, Asus VivoBook E402SA, from its first looks seems the most suitable option for a person because of its 14-inch display powered by Intel Celeron processor, wide and comfortable keyboard, clear and loud audio, range of ports and connectivity. But the performance of this model is not up to the mark even though keeping its low price into consideration.
Asus VivoBook E402SA – Specification and Design:
The new VivoBook E402SA comes with options of Intel Celeron N3050, N3150, and N3700 processor, 2GB of RAM, 1 TB HDD, 32GB eMMC, 2-cell Li-Ion Prismatic battery. The weight of the machine is 1.65 kg; slightly heavier than Lenovo Ideapad 100 and Asus VivoBook E403SA. Thickness is 0.86 inches with SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader, one USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port, HDMI, audio jack makes E402SA good in this category.
The design of the notebook is simple, neat and clean with curve edges, available in black, red, blue and white. Fingerprints are easily noticeable in the plastic lid which can be seen even in low lights.
Asus announce its display as 14.0” (1366×768) and Full HD (1920×1080). In the test it was discovered that the display has low brightness, slightly higher whitish tone in order to cover the low brightness. The viewing angle cannot be mention as great comparing it with other notebooks in the market.
Another positive side of VivoBook E402SA is the dual audio 9cc speakers situated under the palm rest. The sound is loud, clear and has good base quality; generated enough volume to listen to music or to watch movies from any corner of the room. The touchpad is comfortable and accurate enough with multi-touch and smart gesture technology which helps to browse and to zoom in/out. Intel Celeron processor, 2 GB RAM, and 32GB eMMC makes the machine perform average. VivoBook E402SA is not great for the multitasking option. Sometimes it lags which can cause disturbance especially at the time of typing. Integrated Intel HD Graphics will allow to do normal graphics works and enable to run normal games.

In short, it can be said that Asus VivoBook E402SA can be considered for daily use with less multitasking. The user experience will deteriorate with the increasing number of running application at the same time in the laptop. Therefore, Asus VivoBook E402SA is not the greatest option available for $200 laptops in the current market.
